Beginner Results
Our beginner teams did a great job of the course, despite some challenges getting CP39. Congratulations to The Optimists on their fast first place finish! It was a sprint to the finish for 2nd and 3rd place teams, with Team Parsons-Li just edging out Emerson. Nice work all!
Intermediate Results
Our intermediate teams were set with a tough task to try and clear the course in the time allowed. Congratulations to the winning team Nordic Nomads on their full course finish! Reports from other racers noted they were running the whole time! The rest of the podium was close behind with 550 points and within 5 minutes of each other - way to go teams!
Come and join us for a fun day orienteering on and off trail in the spectacular Kivi Park.
This event will feature checkpoints spread around Kivi Park, with a mix of on-trail and off-trail locations. Each checkpoint is assigned a point value based on its difficulty, distance, and terrain. Teams can choose which checkpoints to pursue — the goal isn’t to collect them all, but to maximize your score based on your team’s abilities and strategy.
A beginner and intermediate course will be set up. Please indicate which course you think you will attempt on the registration form:
Beginner will be 3-4km in length with easier route choices.
Intermediate will be 5-7km in length with more difficult route choices and off trail checkpoints.
Either course is suitable for all ages and experience levels, as you decide how many (or how few) checkpoints to visit!
