Kivi Park Crowley
Come and join us for a fun day orienteering on and off trail in the spectacular Kivi Park.
This event will feature 20-30 checkpoints spread around Crowley/Linton, with a mix of on-trail and off-trail locations. Each checkpoint is assigned a point value based on its difficulty, distance, and terrain. Teams can choose which checkpoints to pursue — the goal isn’t to collect them all, but to maximize your score based on your team’s abilities and strategy.
The course is suitable for all ages and experience levels, as you decide how many (or how few) checkpoints to visit!

Our course winner, Red Fox and the Brain(s), were the only team to take the long loop option around Crowley, which paid off for them, providing enough time to grab one last hard checkpoint (#24) before making their way to the finish. Congratulations team!
Our second and third place teams (Iron Moose 2.0 and the Velociraptors) each chose a different route (North vs South) and came in very close points wise. With the senior team just edging out those youths by 25 points.
Mag Flip and Special K tied for points (625), but the Special K team took less time to visit their North Side checkpoints, vs Mag Flip on the South Side.
It was great to chat with our other youth team (Log), and our new to orienteering team (the Continental Drifters) about their course decisions and what they are planning to do for the next event!
