Family Fun Orienteering Race

Come and join us for a fun day orienteering on and off trail in the spectacular Kivi Park.   

This event will feature 20-30 checkpoints spread around Crowley/Linton, with a mix of on-trail and off-trail locations. Each checkpoint is assigned a point value based on its difficulty, distance, and terrain. Teams can choose which checkpoints to pursue — the goal isn’t to collect them all, but to maximize your score based on your team’s abilities and strategy.  

The course is suitable for all ages and experience levels, as you decide how many (or how few) checkpoints to visit!

Cost is $5 per adult, kids free.  Please bring cash to the event.  Registration in advance is mandatory.

• Parking is limited so please carpool

• The time limit is 3 hours

• Minimum 2 people on a team.  If you're solo send us an email and we can team you up!  

• Teams must stick together and visit checkpoints together

• Mandatory gear must be carried at all times

• Ski trails are strickly OFF LIMITS!   No walking along the side of ski trails and crossings are only allowed at existing bike/hiking trail crossings!

• Our goal is for everybody to have fun.  Try to only use your map and compass but if you need help ask another team or use your phone.   If you've never used a map and compass let us know before the event and we can help!
